Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the optional Priority Replacement Cover?
Under SONIQ's express warranty, certain products will be subject to the Priority Replacement Cover which means that if SONIQ accepts your claim under its express warranty, it will deliver the replacement goods and collect the defective goods to you at a nominated address within an Australian capital city. Priority Replacement Cover is available for 32" size and above Flatpanel TV's.

Q: How much does shipping cost?
A: Delivery is free for all TV orders within Metropolitan areas in Australia Only (Within 25Km radius of capital cities). With non TV products and delivery addresses outside 25Km radius of capital cities, shipping is calculated according to weight of the product and delivery destination address.

Q: How long will it take for my purchased product to be delivered to me?
A: The product is dispatched within 48 hours and delivery timeframe can be from 3–7 working days depending on your location, the delivery time may vary.

Q: How will my purchase be delivered? Can I track the delivery status of my purchase?
A: Small items (e.g. spare parts and accessories) will be sent via Australia Post; while larger items will be delivered by our courier. Tracking is available for each delivery; please contact our customer service operators via our hotline on 1300 765 663 or by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Please state your order number when corresponding with our customer care centre.

Q: What payment method options are accepted?
A: We accept Visa and Master Cards. Visa and Mastercard transactions are managed by Westpac's secure Payway system. SONIQ does not store your Credit Card details on any of our databases.

Q: Is there a showroom where I can view the product(s) and/or find out more about them?
A: SONIQ products are available in every JB HiI-Fi store in Australia and New Zealand*. Visit your nearest JB Hi-Fi store to see the actual SONIQ products. To obtain further information regarding the SONIQ products, please contact our support team via our hotline on 1300 765 663.

*Stock availability might vary in each JB Hi-Fi store

Hi janisrob03,
                  Please make sure that the hard drive was formated on the TV. You can do so by going into Menu->Option->PVR File System->Format. After the formatting you should be able to record Digital TVs. After recording you can go into the program list(PVR.L button)to view the recorded shows.
                  Also please note you can only use the correct USB port for desired functions. The USB port at the back of the TV is for media playback while the port on the side panel is for recording.

Hi - I am trying to purchase a replacement remote for my TV & it is quoting $12.00 for shipping.  I thought that living in a major capital city would qualify me for free shipping?   Thanks.

However, the home page has a banner which says free delivery in Australia for accessory orders.  Does that not include remotes?

In regards to your enquiry, remote controls and AC Adpators are categorised under SpareParts instead of Accessories.
For the list of items that are considered as Accessories, please click onto the Product tag of the page and select "Accessories".
However, free shipping offer for accessories had expired starting from November 2011.
